The Public Rooms of Government House, the Ballroom and the Gardens will be open from 11.00am. Final entry to the House will be at 2.30pm, with Gardens remaining open until 4.00pm.
Entertainment
- Humphrey’s Dance Studio have agreed to put on a couple of Ballroom Dancing displays. 12.30pm and again at 1.15pm.
- Perth Morris Men will be performing on the Forecourt between 12.00pm and 2.00pm.
- Town of Victoria Park Brass will be performing in the Grounds: 11.30am – 12.10pm.
- Air Force Cadet Drum Corps will perform in the Grounds throughout the day.
Displays
- The Royal WA Historical Society will have a display in the Ballroom Foyer including Books, Catalogues and a range of Photographs. There will be a representative from the WA Genealogical Society.
- WA Living History Associations will have a display on the upper lawn.
Tours
- Government House Guides will be in each of the public rooms to answer questions and direct visitors.
- “Meet the Gardener” Tours will run at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Bookings can be made on line through the Heritage Perth website (www.heritageperth.com). Places are strictly limited.
- Cellar Tours will run between 11.15am and 2.15pm. Bookings can be made on line through the Heritage Perth website (www.heritageperth.com). Any places not filled on line can be booked in person on the day. Places are strictly limited.
Children’s Entertainment
- Bouncy Castle on the main lawn.
- Face Painting on the South Loggia.
- Tennis Court will be set up and rackets/tennis balls made available.
Refreshments
- CWA are providing Devonshire Teas in the Supper Room, and also cold drinks.
- Consulate Corps have arranged a “World of Food Festival” on the Main Lawn. Approx 20 stalls will offer a selection of their national dishes for sale to visitors. The stalls will be manned by community groups.
