The Chairman of Heritage Perth Inc., Dario Amara, today announced the appointed of two new Board members for the ground-breaking agency dedicated to raising awareness of Perth’s social and architectural history as a major cultural and economic asset for the broader community.
“We are delighted that Heather Merritt and Evan Campbell are joining the Board of Heritage Perth.” Mr Amara said. “Heather, who is Marketing Manager at the University of Western Australia Business School and Evan, Chief Executive Officer of real estate company Mirvac WA, are both eminently qualified to make significant contributions to the work of the Heritage Perth Board.”
Heather Merritt’s most significant career accomplishments include managing the media for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay and, whist in Indonesia, working on crisis and reputation management campaigns for multinational global. Following a moved to Perth in 1995 she established the Australasian operations of a petroleum software company which was subsequently acquired by multinational company Schlumberger.
Evan Campbell joined the staff of Mirvac in 1992 as a trainee development executive, since when he has been responsible for many of Mirvac’s most successful projects, including the Beacon Cove development in Melbourne, Newington Olympic Village and Pacific Place Project in Chatswood, Sydney.
“Heritage Perth has created some very imaginative projects raise awareness of the city’s historic sites and help people enjoy the heritage of Perth. I’m very excited to be joining the Board of such a dynamic organisation that is setting out to prove that heritage is a subject that doesn’t have to be dull and boring,” said Evan.
