A new addition to the program this year, “Playing with History” will give children, parents and grand-parents the opportunity to discover, in an interactive “hands on” and fun way, the games children played in years gone by.

During the last century, Australian toys and games were influenced by ties with other countries and climatic conditions, but others developed that were unique to this country. Tennis, cricket, football, basketball, hockey, rounders and marbles, were the preferred games of the children who were descendants of Colonial Australians.
