After five years distinguished service as Chairman of Heritage Perth, Dario Amara has decided to step down.
A founder member of the Board, formed from voluntary members representing a range of organisations and groups in Perth, Dario had previously served as Chairman of the West Australian Opera Company, the Art Gallery of Western Australia and as a director of the Perth International Arts Festival. This provided him with a wealth of experience to help establish Heritage Perth (originally known as the City of Perth Heritage Appeal) as major ground-breaking heritage agency.
“We are immensely grateful to Dario for his drive and determination during the formative years of Heritage Perth.” Said Heritage Perth’s Executive Director, Richard Offen. “Dario’s experience in the management of not-for-profit organisations and strong leadership was hugely valuable in getting Heritage Perth established, particularly during the difficult time when our partnership with the National Trust was being dissolved.”
At a recent Board meeting, Evan Campbell, CEO of MIRVAC, was unanimously elected to succeed Dario as Chairman of Heritage Perth.
