Free School Holiday Heritage Activities in Perth – January 2018
There are lots of heritage activities to get up to during the school holidays in January 2018. Here are a few of our favourites!
Capturing Change Competition
The City of Perth has changed dramatically since the Swan River Colony began in 1829. Today we see new buildings and open spaces sitting comfortably alongside the remnants of our past – our natural and built heritage.
During the holidays, Heritage Perth wants you to explore our city and find the best example of the past and the present sitting comfortably together.
Digitally submit a photograph and up to 100 words (maximum) that creatively interprets your submission – for instance through poetry, prose, song lyrics, or a 30 second max video with voice over that celebrates the heritage of Perth. The competition closes at 5pm on the last day of the school holidays – Tuesday 30 January.
The competition is open to children aged 6 to 16 years in two categories – 6 to 10 year olds and 11 to 16 year olds
1st prize for each category will be a $60 book voucher and a morning/afternoon tea experience for the child and a family member at Isle of Voyage in the City of Perth. 2nd prize will be a $40 book voucher.
The 1st prize and 2nd prize winners for each age category will be announced in February and their work showcased on Heritage Perth website.
Winners will also be rewarded with a certificate.

If you’re in Perth, check out the Museum Trail App and get walking! Please note that the sites have different opening times so please check before you set off.
