The Project:
Work through the STEM access links, located in the side menu, to design, market and trade  a coin collection and associated gold and platinum products to commemorate and celebrate pioneers, engineers and other characters important to Western Australia’s Golden History.

Research the different coin designs produced to date.
Work with the Requirements for Coinage Metals.
Review Science at the Mint  for ideas.
Compare the face value of your coins to their metal value to see cost effectiveness of your design.
Research the “melt value” and understand how this may impact on your coins and products.
Use the tools at Mathematics at the Mint to calculate the value of your coins.
Trade the face value of your collection on the simulated foreign currencies market. You must be prepared to sustain a loss.
Develop a marketing portfolio using tools from the Immersive Journalism Digital Tool Kit to accurately promote your collection.
