Capturing Change

Capturing Change – A competition for school years 1-10

Capturing Change Competition

Western Australia has changed dramatically since European settlement began in 1827. Today we see new buildings and open spaces sitting comfortably alongside the remnants of our past – our natural and built heritage.

Heritage Perth wants you to explore your local environment and find the best example of the past and the present sitting comfortably together.

Digitally submit a photograph and up to 100 words that creatively interprets your submission – for instance through poetry, prose, song lyrics – or submit a maximum 30 second video (via Vimeo or Youtube) with voice over that celebrates the heritage of our state. The competition closes at 5pm on the last day of each school term.

The competition is open to children in school years 1-10 in two categories – school years 1 to 6 and 7 to 10.

1st prize for each category will be a $60 book voucher. 2nd prize will be a $40 book voucher.

The 1st prize and 2nd prize winners for each category will be announced in the following school term and their work showcased on Heritage Perth website.

Winners will also be rewarded with a certificate.
